NOMELON NOLEMON to perform this week in Los Angeles

NOMELON NOLEMON are creator tsumiki and singer-songwriter MIKIMARIA, the duo behind memorable insert songs for Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, the latest entry in the legendary Gundam franchise. It has just been revealed that they will appear live in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 3 at Peacock Theater for a special event hosted by Anime Expo.

The Gundam Rising in Los Angeles: Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Special Event panel will feature a talk show with a star-studded lineup of guests including director Kazuya Tsurumaki, series composition and script Yoji Enokido,Gundam executive producer Naohiro Ogata, and voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa, who plays the protagonist Amate Yuzuriha (Machu).

Fans will be able to enjoy NOMELON NOLEMON performing live and the duo’s insert song “Midnight Reflection” from Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX will undoubtedly be a key highlight for the event. The panel will also include live concert video from theme song artist Kenshi Yonezu and a special video message from ending theme song artist Hoshimachi Suisei.

The panel (1pm PST segment) will be live streamed across multiple platforms, but be advised that the broadcasts will not be archived - make sure to catch the action in person or via the stream on time!

NOMELON NOLEMON made a striking debut in August, 2021 with “INAZMA,” followed by the release of their 1st album, “POP,” on January 26, 2022. To celebrate their second anniversary, they released their 2nd album, “Rule,” on August 11, 2023, and subsequently held a solo concert at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA in October of the same year. This was successfully followed by their “Astro Flight Tour,” which took them to five cities in Japan. “SAYONARA MAYBE,” released as the lead track from their 2nd album, became their highest-charting hit, widely used across TikTok and other social media platforms. Last October, their song “Suikou Setten” was chosen as their first anime tie-up, serving as the ending theme for the first cour of the TV anime “Rurouni Kenshin -Meiji Kenkaku Roman Tan- Kyōto Dōran.”

tsumiki is active as a Vocaloid producer while handling responsibilities for the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of most songs within NOMELON NOLEMON. During live performances, tsumiki showcases multifaceted talent by skillfully handling drums, guitar, keyboard, and vocals. tsumiki is the driving force behind the unit’s sound creative direction.

MIKIMARIA provides vocals for all NOMELON NOLEMON songs while showcasing artistic sensibility in lyrics and composition. Beyond MIKIMARIA’s expressive voice and stage presence, which leverages experience in dance, MIKIMARIA also oversees the unit’s visual creative direction and production of costumes and merchandise.
