JILUKA unleashes sonic fury at Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles

The Japanese visual kei metal band JILUKA commenced their inaugural North American concert series in 2024 with an electrifying, unforgettable spectacle at the Teragram Ballroom.

Vocalist Ricko, guitarist Sena, bassist Boogie, and drummer Zyean delivered an intensely vibrant show, leaving everyone captivated and setting very high expectations for the tour ahead. Boogie provided a solid foundation with powerful bass lines, displaying calm professionalism that sharply contrasted the evening’s wildness. His natural skill on the instrument deepened every track, establishing himself as the consistent pulse of their act.

Sena contributed dramatic style and exact technicality, enthralling spectators with expressive stances, then unleashing blistering guitar work. Every sound emanating from his instrument imbued the entire spectacle with immense vitality. The bond he forged with attendees intensified each second of the show. Simultaneously, Zyean’s percussion was ceaseless, propelling the act with complex patterns and an astonishing drum feature that left the crowd spellbound.

The selection of songs guided fans through a spectrum of feelings, featuring material from throughout JILUKA’s discography. “Mephisto” emerged as a chilling standout, where Ricko’s dramatic presentation and Sena’s elaborate guitar playing captivated all present. The final piece, “VENØM,” led to an impactful conclusion, sparking a communal burst of pure power and jubilation among listeners. The final extra song provided an ideal ending.

Following overwhelming calls for their return, the musicians, now wearing their own branded attire, played “Twisted Pain” and “SUZAKU,” leaving spectators feeling immensely uplifted. Ricko playfully included a comedic element playing promoting their branded items with lighthearted appeal.
